The North Island Champs event includes New Zealand Youth Series Nation Points races for the senior athletes (age groups U14 and above) and Junior Interfield races for the younger athletes (age groups U14 and below)

Registrations:

• Northern Ski Team registrations not yet open – Registrations will open as soon as Snow Sports New Zealand open race registration. We will send an email with updates (please ensure you have subscribed to our newsletter from our homepage).
• Please note: Registration with Northern Ski Team does not include race entry. Race entry must be completed with SSNZ directly.

Age Groups: Northern Ski Team will be representing and offering race day support to athletes in the following age groups for this event:

• Under 8
• Under 10
• Under 12
• Under 14

Athlete Chaperone Available:

• Yes, athlete chaperone applications will be accepted for this event. There will be a maximum of 4 x chaperone spaces. See more information below

Equipment:

• All athletes must wear a helmet at all times. This is compulsory across all Northern Ski Team programmes. Back protectors are also recommended for athletes. The coach has the right to refuse training to athletes who do not have the appropriate equipment.

Liability:

• Snow sports involve a certain element of risk & are therefore undertaken at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for any accidents, damage, loss, injury, sickness, death, cancellation, delay or other unforeseen events that occur during the course of a training programme on or off-snow.
• We reserve the right to decline, cancel or withdraw any athlete. We expect athletes to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as set out in the athlete code of conduct in the athlete handbook.
