2021 Auckland Points Series #1 – Kinder Kombi

Come and join us for the first ski race event of 2021!
This is the first of 5 x ski race events of the 2021 Auckland Points Series. Final details of the points series will be confirmed and published prior to the commencement of this event.
Race Format:
- Kinder Kombi* (SL/GS Format)
- 4 x runs – Combined times
What is Kinder Kombi?
The Kinder Kombi or ‘Kombi’ is an event design to suit the developmental needs of the children’s age group
(U12, U14, U16). The course should consist of a mixture of standard turns and gates and should help develop a
tactical awareness by blending sections of different gates in a flowing, rhythmical, constantly changing pattern.
There can be two different forms of the Kombi: SL / GS Format (technical orientation), setting with GS gates or
coloured ground indicators and GS / SG Format (speed orientation), setting with GS and SG gates or coloured
ground indicators.

Age Group Classifications:
- U8 (Born in 2014 & later)
- U10 (Born in 2012/13)
- U12 (Born in 2010/11)
- U14 (Born in 2008/09)
- U16 (Born in 2006/07)
- Open (Born in 2005 & earlier)
Race Day Schedule:
- 4.00pm – Bib collection opens (Snowplanet main lobby)
- 4.40pm – Athlete safety briefing (bottom of slope)
- 4.45pm – Course inspection
- 5.00pm – Race start
Race Entry Price:
- Snowplanet Members = $30 Race entry
- Non-members = $60 Race entry including lift pass
Registrations:
- Registrations must be completed via the Sports Development Foundation NZ website
