This weekend is set to be one of the biggest race events of the 2022 junior race calendar… We can’t wait for all to join us!

Accommodation during the weekend. For those that joined us at Mt Hutt during July 2021, you’ll be familiar with Barkers Lodge. Tony and the team have been awesome in agreeing to open up some of the rooms in the lodge for us, which is amazing considering the lack of accommodation options in Methven. For those not so familiar, most of the rooms sleep 4 x people and each room has it’s own ensuite. The room rates include continental breakfast at the lodge, however the kitchen facilities will not be accessible, so we’ll need to make our own dinner arrangements. For bookings, please email Tony directly at barkerslodge@xtra.co.nz or phone 0210505933. The rates are as follows:
2 x people (bed and breakfast) = $150
Additional people = $30 each
Meals throughout the weekend.
Transport throughout the weekend. For car rental we recommend you take a look at airportrentals.com as a good car rental comparison website for rentals from Christchurch airport where you can get a RAV4 AWD from as low as $100 per day. If you plan on driving up to the ski resorts, please be sure to rent a 4WD or AWD vehicle and be sure to add chain hire if the forecast is looking like there is a possibility of snow during our visit.
FAQs
What is the refund policy?
We have a strict ‘no refunds’ policy for this camp (including for bad weather days). This policy is due to the fixed-costs associated with running these weekends. If the weekend does not proceed for any reason, we will provide 100% refund on all payments made to Northern Ski Team.
In the scenario of bad weather days, we will run an alternative day of off-snow training and activities. This may include activities such as: – Hikes and outdoor activities – Trips to Christchurch, Hanmer Springs, etc.
Are chaperone opportunities available?
