In collaboration with the team at Mt Ruapehu, we are excited to be hosting the return of SSNZ sanctioned race events at Mt Ruapehu for the first time since 2019!

Coaches in attendance for this weekend will include Adrian, Justin, Nick & Duane.

We plan to maximise athlete benefits from this weekend by offering race training opportunities in addition to the race event itself.

What does this look like?

• Friday training day (optional) – In preparation for the races, we’re running a fuill day of race training on Friday 18th August. The option can be selected when completing your registration
• Saturday & Sunday training courses – The expected athletes numbers means the race should finish early in the day (all going to plan), which allows us to continue using the race course for an afternoon race training session of 1.5-2 hours prior to prizegiving.

As always, the above is dependent on weather, snow and operational conditions over the weekend.

Race Registration

Race registrations must be completed by each athlete via the SSNZ North Island Championships and Waimarino Trophy Junior Interfield event page. Race registrations close at midday on Thursday 17th August.

Limited chaperone options are available for this weekend at a cost of $140 per night and includes accommodation, meals and ground transport.
